Edges of Disciplines Presentations
___________________________________________________________________
The workshop will be conducted over 2 ½ days. The first morning will focus on “Edges of Disciplines” speakers. These are speakers that can eloquently describe where their fields are headed and what will be required from other disciplines to attain these longer term goals. These speakers will be innovative, have a broad view of polar science and technologies, and provide a vision of the future of polar science over the next few decades. These talks are intended to inspire the workshop participants and initiate thinking about science themes that are most appropriately addressed by the AISS program. Speakers will also be invited who have been through similar processes in other fields and in the Arctic to brief the workshop participants on lessons learned – both successes and failures in attempting to bring a diverse community together.
